Description: This is a 20 card deck in which students will choose from 3 words to find a synonym for a given word. They will drag it to the other part of the broken heart to make it whole. This is great for middle school vocabulary practice. I would have students practice using dictionaries or a thesaurus for words they don't know. Words used are: abundant, belligerent, complex, liquify, mortify, persuasive, serene, valid, generate, illuminate, perish, rebellious, humane, initiate, miscellaneous, pretentious, expose, defensive, perplexed, and merged.
