Description: Describing Real Photographs- WINTER theme. Includes 21 task cards. Each card includes: -- 1 full color REAL PHOTOGRAPH of a scene/activity involving a person/people or animal(s) -- WH concept prompts with visuals + fill in blank boxes for each (who, what, where, when) -- large fill in blank box to describe the picture ("put together" the words from WH concept boxes to make sentence(s). Students look at each picture, type in 1+ word to describe the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, and WHEN from the photo, then put the concepts together to build a complete sentence or sentences/paragraph describing the photo. Perfect to work on describing goals, vocabulary, typing, sentence formation, parts of speech, WH concepts, and so much more! These cards are NOT self-checking. They require an instructor/parent review the responses/writing to assess progress. This allows students to write various correct responses. Instructors can easily vary difficulty level by requesting multiple sentences/a full paragraph for each picture vs. only one sentence.
