Description: A gross motor movement story for Thanksgiving! Follow along with turkey and see if you can copy his moves! This would make a great brain break for getting students up and moving whether they're inside the classroom or at home virtually! The rhyming directions focus on rote counting, body part identification, spatial concepts, core movement, focus, and following directions. Use the hands to "high five!" to the next page and practice color identification. You can also work on sight word identification and concepts of print by having student's read out "Turkey, Turkey, how do you move?" each time the slide changes. This is my first Boom deck creation! After using gross motor movements in our story time for "hands on" learning, I created this deck to use with my classroom that meets the needs of both my general education and special education students and have plans to make more in the future! I hope your students enjoy this fun, silly activity as much as my students do!
