Description: This activity is designed to work on cluster reduction and s-blends. There are three activities: 1) Minimal Pairs: There are 20 cards that work on minimal pairs. Each card contains 1 pair. There is a box for you to fill in how many reps the student must complete prior to driving a truck to the card. 2) Blending S: There are 20 cards that work on blending S with the rest of the word. Students first guess what the word they are blending will be. Example: S + pie = spy. Next, they drive their vehicle across the track blending S with the rest of the word (pie in the example). Once completed they move down a box to see if they guessed the word correctly. 3) S-blends practice: There are 8 pages to work on s-blends. Sm, Sp, Sn, St, Sk, Sl, and Sw each have their own page. There is also a page to work on mixed S-blends. There is a vehicle hidden behind the target words. There is also a box for you to fill in to state how may reps are required before the student moves the card to the drop box.
