Students will learn about the lives of nine African American athletes/ entertainers/ history makers while demonstrating an understanding of timelines. Students will first see a card with a short biography of a famous history maker. AUDIO is included on the short biography cards. On the following card, they will see a timeline of that individual's life. They will drag and drop the events to the correct order. Each timeline includes 7-9 life events, 6 of which will need to be filled in (through drag and drop) by the student. Individuals included: Michael Jordan Billie Holiday Jackie Robinson Wilma Rudolph Marian Anderson Jesse Owens Michael Jackson Langston Hughes Barack Obama Designed for 3rd- 5th graders to complete independently; can be used with younger grades with assistance.
