Description: This activity will help students develop strategies to enhance their memory skills by reading the orders (or listening to them read aloud by a partner) and completing them. Instructions for the activity are as follows: 1. First, read the customer's order. When you are ready, hit the "I'm ready" button. 2. Remember the order. 3. Make the customer's ice cream and hit submit when you are done. Every other card in this deck has a customer's order, followed by a station to complete the order. The first card in this deck includes instructions for the activity, while the last card allows students to be creative and make their own ice cream (or fill other customized orders given from their peers). The 40 cards in between allow students to practice completing orders with 3 or 4 items. This activity is a great and fun way for students to practice compensatory strategies to improve their memory skills.
