Your students will love this Halloween monster-themed tier two vocabulary activity! The 41-card deck is split into two levels targeting both synonyms and sentence-level context clues. Level 1: Students will select synonyms from a field of four answer choices. Each card within this activity consists of a sentence containing a target word to practice using sentence-level context clues to identify synonyms. Your students can select the accurate synonym from a field of four written choices and "feed" the word to the monster! Level 2: Replacing synonyms with open-ended responses. Each card within this activity contains the same sentences and target words from the cards in level 1. Your students will generate a synonym for the underlined word in the sentence and type it into an open-ended response box. This activity does not contain answer choices. This activity is perfect for teletherapy/remote learning, in-person learning activities on an iPad, laptop, or interactive whiteboard, or to be assigned for independent practice! All target words are Halloween themed!
