Description: This speech and language / literacy deck is a fun and engaging way to target answering WHERE questions as well using the following position concepts: in, on, above, under, in front of, behind, next to and between. This deck also targets early literacy skills including sight words (is, the) and sentence formulation. There are TWO (2) levels of play! Each level includes a total of 48 trials (6 trials per concept) presented using 4 different themes (octopus/treasure chest, turtle/egg, jellyfish/helmet and otter/tube). LEVEL 1: The student is shown a picture and asked to drag the correct position word (from a visual bank of 4 positional words) to a sentence strip along the bottom of the page. The student can then practice saying the sentence strip along the bottom of the page for expressive language practice. LEVEL 2: The student is shown a picture and asked to unscramble and drag icons/sight words onto a sentence strip along the bottom of the page. Each page follows the same sentence structure: The + noun + is + preposition + the + noun. The student will use all the sight words provided, but will still need to chose the correct preposition (from a visual bank of 4 position words). Once the student has unscrambled the words and created a sentence, he/she can practice saying the sentence along the bottom of the page for expressive practice.
