This set of tone of voice BOOM™ cards is for middle and high school students needing practice in choosing and using appropriate emotional tones of voice. There is a self rating related to tone of voice and an introduction. Students practice evaluating a social situation given pictures and audio directions and record themselves saying their message in their chosen emotional tone of voice. Last, they rate themselves. Each slide contains: A photograph, Recorded directions, A few sentences explaining the social scenario, Three emotion emojis with the spoken tone of the emotion for an example (students choose which tone to use), A text box where students type in a response and then practice it in the chosen tone. On all practice cards, there is a feature for students to record their own tone of voice and play it back! Click "recorder" button in upper right hand corner. Then, they rate themselves. The deck ends with review slides. This deck contains supports for diverse learners, including a home page/menu, navigational arrows, images, audio directions and a student self rating.
