Description: An emotional regulation toolkit for kiddos. This is the February/Valentine's Day version of a set of themed emotional regulation decks that I am creating (and part of bundle that any/all future similar decks will be added to). All are called “Cool as an Ice Pop” and all have the same tri-colored, happy ice-pop on the bottom left corner to make them easily identifiable by students to find when they need to “cool down” and take a break. With full audio-support, the deck starts with students using a choice of items (cupid, cupcake, candy heart, Valentine note, monster, or bug) with faces to gauge their feelings. After picking a face (using "drag-and-drop"), the student is taken to a page that asks if he/she is "calm and ready to learn." Clicking "yes", exits the deck. Clicking "no" takes the student to a page of options to help the student calm down (different sounds, a "Build a Love Monster" page, and a shape/pattern puzzle). After completing this activity, the student is returned to the first page and asked to rate his/her feeling again. NOTE: There is no time limit on any of the pages, nor is there a limit to the number of times a student can answer “no” to “are you calm” and return to the cooling down activities. However, there are only four options and, while they are tried-and-true calming activities, they are not “games” that a student would want to play for hours.
