MEDIAL PHONEME ISOLATION (ISOLATING MIDDLE SOUNDS IN CVC WORDS): FIND THE PICTURE THAT STARTS WITH THE VOWEL SOUND YOU HEAR This fun phonemic awareness game enables kids to practice identifying and isolating the middle/ vowel sound in cvc words. After listening to the phoneme (which is set to auto-play), kids have to identify the word that has the same vowel sound and click the corresponding picture. Audio has been included for each pictured cvc word to enable kids to work independently. Kids can hear the phoneme again by clicking the yellow counter. Audio directions are included when one clicks the 'i' button at the top. The position of the yellow counter in the frame will help children remember that they have to isolate the medial sound in each word.
