Description: This deck contains a total of 25 cards, with 90 opportunities to practice the vocalic /ar/ sound in one play. Each practice card contains: *a picture depicting the "ar" word, *the written word in red, *a microphone button to click to hear the spoken directions and target word (optional), *a number under a draggable snowball (say the word that many times), *a thumbs up button-push if word articulated correctly, *a thumbs down button-push if word was not articulated correctly and the student can try again. The deck also provides a slide showing 2 mouth pictures depicting how the /ar/ sound is produced in the mouth. The student can also hear the /ar/ sound in isolation. You can structure your sessions to have the student say the word at the word, phrase or sentence level. The SLP can identify the word as articulated correctly or you can have the student self-monitor and determine if their production was correct or not. When the word is not said correctly, the SLP provides cues or directs the student to press the ear to hear the word again. Then the student can try again. You can also assign the deck for home practice!
