Description: This Boom Card can be used to teach and/or informally assess the understanding and ability to express the concepts wide and narrow. The concepts are represented by 12 'versions' of the concept, (e.g., wide/narrow chair, wide/narrow swing), therefore data will clearly show if the student has solid grasp of the concepts. The Boom Card has three 'teaching' cards, a total of 24 cards for receptively identifying the two concepts and two types of expressive task each with 24 cards. One has a lead in phrase (e.g.,'The stripy candle is narrow. The red candle is..?') and one with no lead in (e.g., The red candle is..?). Each stimulus picture has carefully been designed so it can be used with teletherapy, particularly if giving control of the screen is not an option, as the student can describe the answer, e.g., 'Which swing is wide? -"The one with the dog".
