Description: ESL students love to talk about food, but then again, who doesn't? This deck of 35 boom cards was created with adult students in mind--no food with smiling cartoony faces dancing around. Instead, I used photos. WARNING: If you are firmly in the camp of "tomato is a fruit", don't buy this! I went by culinary definitions rather than botanical definitions for all the food in this deck. By the way, I've got the US Supreme Court on my side in this! Tomatoes have been legally vegetables since 1893. No joke! :P In this deck, students will hear a vegetable term and see a corresponding photo. Need a more challenging version? Take a look at my vegetable vocabulary bundle. All the decks in it are also available separately. https://wow.boomlearning.com/store/bundle/YQJXX6wQZbWLRmkk8 This deck will NOT appeal to young learners. Vegetable terms include artichoke, asparagus, bamboo shoots, beets, bok coy, fava beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, collards, corn, cucumbers, edamame, eggplant, ginger root, kale, romaine lettuce, okra, onions, peas, bell peppers, potatoes, radicchio, radishes, spaghetti squash, spinach, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, zucchini & TOMATOES.
