Description: Students practice fluency with addition and subtraction within 1000 by solving +/- questions with missing parts in all positions of the equations. This is a great Boom Deck to practice addition and subtraction within 1000 in 2nd grade or to reinforce addition and subtraction skills for third graders since so much time in 3rd grade is otherwise focused on multiplication and division foundational knowledge. Students will need to solve the problems on their own paper and submit their answers on Boom to see if their answer is correct. Audio directions are included. This Boom Card deck is perfectly aligned to following Common Core Standards: 2.NBT.B.7 Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds. 3.NBT.A.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
