Description: Students are presented with a variety of basic concepts, attributes and adjectives. The following concepts, attributes and adjectives are presented in this activity: - Colors - Shapes -Big or Small -Short or Tall -Hot or Cold -Hard or Soft Students are asked WH questions or "Is it" questions to describe objects using the basic concepts. For example, students are asked "what color?" and "what shape?" Students are also asked "is it big or small/short or tall/hot or cold/hard or soft? After, students are Students are given a visual sentence starter (e.g. the (noun) is ____). For example, the fire is ____. Students are given 2 visual choices of basic concepts (e.g. hot/cold) to fill in the sentence starter. This helps students form sentences such as "the fire is hot." This helps students receptively and expressively build their knowledge of basic concepts while expanding their utterances!
