Description: This is an excellent game to have students retell the Five Little Pumpkins! Students can drag and drop the words to the correct boxes on each page. This was originally made for E.S.O.L. (or ELL) students. They enjoyed the rhyming text and related pictures, so they were easily able to gather new vocabulary from this text. This game can be played any time you feel your students are ready and can be played again and again. Enjoy! This item is part of a bundle with the story, so feel free to get the bundle! Below is an explanation of the steps that were taken to teach with it. This was the sequence I used: 1. read the text to the them, 2. reviewed the words and images, 3. read and the students repeated, 4. the students read the text to me, 5. we talked about the text (as much as possible), 6. we created sentences (orally) with various, related vocabulary, and 6. the students reread the text on their own. Please note: the students were allowed to read the text on their own from the beginning, but some students choose to wait to the end while others read and reread it after each step above. Most choose to read it after each step. ;) Copyright 2022 Tiffany Brodsky. All rights are reserved.
