Description: Building a turkey requires a surprising amount of functional language! For example, ask your students which eyes they want and have them describe the eyes (e.g. do they look angry, happy, silly, or have eyelashes?). Similarly, have them describe other items, like noses and hats. Is it a hat you wear in the winter? A hat a king wears ("what's the name of that again?") You can also target colors and sizes with this quick, fun task by asking if they want the big orange feather or the little orange feather on the turkey. There are plenty of options that will send your students into fits of giggles when they are done!
