These task cards are a fun and interactive way to introduce the concept of division to your children. This resource works wonderfully after reading the book “The Doorbell Rang” by Pat Hutchins, but it is an effective stand-alone resource as well. There are four different types of task cards included in this set: sharing cookies, sharing apples, sharing pet fish, and sharing dog bones. On each card, the child will share the number of objects equally between the children (or dogs) by dragging the objects. After all of the objects have been shared, the child will then count the number of objects each child got and type the answer in the box. They must do both of these steps in order to get the answer correct. I hope your children enjoy this BOOM card deck!
