Description

Aligned with CCSS 4.NBT.B.5. These 35 Thanksgiving boom cards provide practice in using an area model (also known as the box method) for multiplying 3 digit by 1 digit numbers. Students can practice applying the method in a range of ways including drag and drop equations and partial products, missing numbers, and true or false (finding errors). The first slide provides an overview of the steps to solving a multiplication equation using an area model. These cards would benefit students who have already been introduced to the area model and are securing their knowledge with additional practice. Copyright @ KLadenegan:Jumping Elephant Math
