Grades: 8,9,10,11,12

Description: This deck will assess knowledge of equations of parallel and perpendicular lines. There are 20 cards in this deck that ask questions about whether equations would be parallel, perpendicular or neither when graphed. Students will be asked to fill in blanks for slopes and y-intercepts to create specific equations. Students must understand how to use slope-intercept form and point-slope form. Students must be able to go from standard form to slope-intercept form. They should be able to recognize whether lines are parallel or perpendicular on a graph. They should know what an opposite reciprocal is. If students can complete this deck successfully, then you will have confidence that they understand this concept as well as many other important algebra concepts!
