Description: Are you looking for ways to integrate real world math into your daily instruction? This activity has students practice reading expiration dates to identify which item is going to expire first. This is an excellent resource for students to work on real world reading and math skills. It is also a great activity to work on job skill readiness since grocery store employees are often asked to sort shelves with the items expiring soonest placed up front for customers to easily access. This is UNIT TWO of a two part series. Unit two assesses students on being able to differentiate between the month, day, and year formats to compare what item expires the soonest. Only two answer choices are given, but students have to compare the month, date, and year to make sure they are picking the correct answer as each of those could be different in this unit. This product is a great addition for your life skills curriculum!
