Check out this engaging practice for irregular past tense verbs. It incudes 3 different activities, each with 10 cards. Audio is provided for all directions. Audio is also provided for the sentences in activity 3. In activity 1, students will look at the picture and read the word on each easel. They'll then decide if the verb is showing present tense or past tense. They'll drag the correct paint splat under each easel. In activity 2, students will find the correct past tense for each verb shown. They'll drag the cookie with the correct word to the cookie jar. In activity 3, students will type in the correct verb (past and present form of the same base word) into each sentence. They can click to hear the sentence read to them (minus the verb they'll need to find). This is a great beginning practice for irregular past tense verbs. It works well with 1st and 2nd grade students.
