Are you looking for a fun winter math activity to help your first grade students practice 1.OA.6 Making ten when adding? This deck will give you this practice! It includes 3 activities for practice. The first activity has students filling in the missing addend to add up to the sum of 10. A number line is included on the bottom of each card in this section. They'll be dragging and dropping winter trees into a box to answer. In the second activity, students will be working with a ten frame to make ten. Students will drag snowflakes to the ten frame to make ten and then use the 10 + ? to find the sum. In the final section, students will be identifying the snowman that shows an equation that is making ten to add. They'll drag a hat to the correct snowman to answer.
