This BOOM set features elements of Magnets and Magnetism and is the perfect companion to support NGSS Science Standards MS-PS2-3 and MS-PS2-5. The cards begin reinforcing what magnets can/cannot do and then support the 'anatomy' of a magnet by identify the poles and magnetic fields of magnets. Students will be challenged to recognize how magnets attract and repel. The deck continues by having students recognize what DOES attract to magnets and what does not. The magnitude of force is then explored as students compare the distances between magnets to identify the extent of the force. Finally, students complete a Venn Diagram comparing an Electromagnet to a regular magnet. Boom cards are great as independent learning stations, distance learning tools, Hyperdoc add-ons or digital homework assignments.
