Description: This is such a fun resource for the holiday season! It includes both a 20-page adapted book and 8 pages of create your own holiday sweaters. The adapted book targets 10 different Christmas vocabulary words (Christmas tree, Santa Claus, presents, stocking, Santa hat, snowman, reindeer, gingerbread man, candy cane and snowflake). For the first page of each target, the child is asked to move the correct Christmas object to the sweater. For the second page of each target, the child is asked if he/she likes or doesn't like the created Christmas sweater. The child can then move the correct icon ("like" or "don't like") to a sentence strip along the bottom of each page, and practice saying the complete utterance. For example, "I like the candy cane sweater." The create your own pages ask the child to first pick a color/style of sweater to design. Then the child can add sleeves and designs to the sweater. This is an open-ended activity with no right or wrong answers!
