Description

This story is about Hanna, Jack, and Max going on a camping trip. It is an original story (11 pages long) and has controlled vocabulary. The student reads the story (with and without support). After reading he/she completes comprehension questions with the drag and drop format, a sequencing events slide, extended response questions, and works on words with short a and long a/short i and long i (sorting pictures, listening and identifying pictures with long vowels, spelling word with long i/final e, and reading words and identify the named word). There is full audio support throughout the book and activities. It's best for first to second grade, and I am using these activities to guide my tutoring lessons. You can use it together and assign it for repeated practice afterwards. The book is read aloud, but sound can be turned off or down for independent reading.
