Grades: 13,1,2

Description: This deck was designed to practice inferring information by association (level 2 in my intervention hierarchy). Students look at the objects depicted at the top of each task card and determine the best answer from 4 multiple choice options. Students answer both, "what are you making?" and "what are you playing?" questions in this deck. Info inferred from the photos and objects depicted in this deck: -making a valentine -making PB&J -making a cake -making spaghetti -making pizza -making cereal -making donuts -playing tennis -playing hockey -playing baseball -playing football -playing golf -playing basketball -playing volleyball Supporting Notes: Teaching inferencing skills in special education is often difficult and tedious. I use the following levels of intervention to teach inferencing skill sets: 1) infer action based on object 2) infer by association 3) infer from picture 4) infer from situational text and picture 5) infer from highlighted words in a short text 6) infer from connected text (preferred topic) 7) infer from connected text (nonpreferred topic) Enjoy & Always Have Fun!
