Description: This deck of 30 Boom cards is a fun, interactive way of reinforcing the essential skill of adding within 20, using the start unknown type of equation. Students may choose to drag gumballs into empty tens frames to make the required number. They then record the number of gumballs used by choosing the answer and clicking on their choice. This is a great way to provide essential practice. 30 cards may be too many for some students to do in one sitting. It is possible for the teacher to select the number of cards they wish their student to see at one time. Each time a student returns to the deck another random eg 10 or 15 (whatever the teacher chooses) cards will be seen. This means the deck can be used many times with the order of the cards changing each time. This deck can be used independently at home or in class, for centers or small group work, to provide practice or as an assessment. It can even be projected onto an interactive whiteboards for large group use.
