Description: This deck of 40 Boom cards is a fun, interactive way of reinforcing the essential skill of adding within 20, using the result unknown type of equation. Students may drag gumballs into empty tens frames to help calculate the answer. They then type the answer to the sum in the answer box. This is a great way to provide essential practice. 40 cards will probably be too many for most students to do in one sitting. It is possible for the teacher to select the number of cards they wish their student to see at one time. Each time a student returns to the deck another random 10 or 15 (teacher's choice) cards will be seen. This means the deck can be used many times with the order of the cards changing each time. This deck can be used independently at home or in class, for centers or small group work, to provide practice or as an assessment. It can even be projected onto an interactive whiteboards for large group use.
