Description
FOCUS: The focus of this deck is simple sentence building for young readers and writers. There are 30 cards in this deck. Students build simple sentences using commonly-used words. DIRECTIONS: • Each card has a 4- or 5-word sentence with scrambled words • When put into the correct order, the word cards make a picture. • Students drag picture pieces in the correct order to make a proper sentence and picture. • Students must also type the correct sentence in the box at the bottom. The typing box is case- and punctuation-sensitive, so students must use proper punctuation and capitalization before moving on to the next card. • The self-checking feature instantly informs students if their answer is correct, providing immediate feedback and a chance to correct the answer. SKILLS COVERED: • Capitalization • Ending punctuation • Sight words and other commonly-used words USING BOOM CARDS: Boom Cards are digital, paper less task cards that focus on a specific skill. The cards are interactive, self-checking, and very easy to use. They can be used on desktop computers, phones and tablets both in the classroom and for Distance Learning.
