One card is included for each of the Bossy R letter combinations- ar, er, ir, or, ur. Students will look at the picture and then click the correct letters (from four options) to complete the word. When the student clicks the correct letter combination, the following page will show the picture again with the word written in full to really reinforce the correct spelling. The bossy r words included in this activity are: AR- card ER- iceberg IR- dirt OR- cork UR- purse This r-controlled vowels activity is ideal for first grade and second grade students as well as beginner ESL students.
