Description: Spring Listening for Critical Elements is designed for students to practice following directions through audition only. This deck contains 120 cards- ranging from 2 to 4 critical elements, broken down by type. Students with hearing loss, auditory processing, or language delays may benefit from following directions practice broken down by critical elements. Critical elements are elements needed to comprehend a message. For example: find the dirty blue boots has 3 critical elements (but only if there are other boots around- otherwise they just figure it out by default). This resource uses custom clipart to ensure that students need to listen to ALL the critical elements in the message in order to find the right object. This sample deck focuses on directions with 2 adjectives and a noun (ex: dirty blue boots).
