Description: These Boom Decks are a great way to get students to experience community outings in a structured and instructional way online. Many students need to be pre-taught important skills that they will practice in the community. These Virtual Field Trip activities provide both teachers and students with an opportunity to practice real world skills in a scaffolded and stress-free manner! With this set of Boom Cards, you get access to LEVEL TWO of the grocery activities. Your students will practice basic job skills required to work at a grocery store through the form of a virtual field trip. Skills students will work on in this lesson include helping customers find what aisle random grocery foods are located in, stocking shelves, adding groceries to a conveyor belt, bagging groceries properly, giving change, loading boxes, and reading expiration dates. Level 2 has four field options for bagging groceries (as opposed to two options in level 1), calculating change back to the nearest quarter (as opposed to calculating to the nearest dollar in level 1), more advanced box loading directions (as opposed to simpler vocabulary in level 1), and a field of three answer choices for reading expiration dates (as opposed to two choices in level 1). These virtual field trips present an invaluable opportunity for students to get familiar with real world processes through fun, online lessons. This is a great activity to promote real world job skills in a safe and structured manner.
