Description: Boost speech and language skills with this Requesting Reinforcers activity. Includes interactive noun-based exercises, perfect for enhancing communication and perfect for ABA or preschool language work. This simple activity teaches a student, using audio and Boardmaker™ symbols, how to request when asked “What do you want?” This teaches the student how to access positive reinforcement using verbal or symbol language (PECS™). It also helps promote asking for help! This goal is intended to be individualized, so it's simply good instruction and practice associating preferred items with requesting (verbally or with pictures). This is not intended to replace mand training but to supplement it in a fun manner. 20 commonly preferred reinforcers for young children are presented: all done, apple, ball, break, dog, candy, car, chip, cookie, cracker, eat, fish cracker, fruit snack, help, iPad, play, swing, toy, drink, watch (show) Follow ABA in School to stay up to date with new and updated resources for early learning, speech therapy, special education, ABA, and data collection.
