Description

Card Design: Most of the decks I create incorporate different activities to keep students engaged, and this deck is no different. Card tasks are outlined below: • Cards 1-6 require the student to identify the graph that displays the correct feasible region for the given set of constraints (multiple-choice) • Cards 7-11 require the student to determine the maximum or minimum value using a given objective function and a graph displaying a feasible region – vertices are shown. Students must type the maximum or minimum value and click the ordered pair on the graph that satisfies the solution (fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice) • Cards 12-15 require the student to work through a word problem involving linear programming. Students must formulate an objective function (fill-in-the-blank), determine the set of constraints (multiple-choice – choose all that apply), determine the minimum value given the objective function and graphed feasible region (drag and drop and fill-in-the-blank), and answer the problem (i.e. minimize cost – fill-in-the-blank) • Cards 16-19 require the student to complete the sentence with the correct vocabulary term (drag and drop).
