Description: Are you looking for a fun way to practice identifying community buildings with your students? This activity has students search for different buildings in the dark by using a flashlight. Students will be given a visual picture of a building and then they will be asked to find it in a scene using a flashlight. They will slide the flashlight around the screen until they find the building. Once they find the building, they simply press next and move onto the next building! Please note that these boom cards do not mark answers as right or wrong. Students simply press next once they have found the matching item. This is more than just a fun matching activity! Teachers can easily differentiate this for learners by discussing what the building is, why people might go visit it, and discuss where those buildings are located in their own communities as well! This is a wonderful activity to increase student engagement all while assessing them on important real world skills!
