Description: This is a 33-card Independence Day / 4th of July Scavenger Hunt. While completing the hunt, students will learn history behind the holiday, information about its signers and the ways it is celebrated. To complete the hunt, students are presented with a question with some possible answers. Then they read a short passage where the information can be found. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This activity could be used to learn about the holiday, an extension of a Revolutionary War discussion, an easy lesson for a sub, a reading center or a social studies activity.
