Description: Your students will enjoy counting the phonemes, or sounds, they hear in words with 2, 3, and 4 sounds in this 20 card drag and drop deck. Words included are: 2 phoneme words - bee, bow, egg, pie, tea, zoo 3 phoneme words - cab, duck, fin, goat, hop, jug, kite, rub, wish, yak 4 phoneme words - crab, frog, snake, tent The first card (cab) contains a hint for students who are unsure how to play the deck. The hint is located at the bottom right. The directions can be read or listened to. The word to be segmented is shown as a picture under the tree and is not in print because phonemic awareness is auditory. The word will play automatically on each card and can be replayed as often as needed. Students will drag a penguin onto the ice for each sound they hear in the word.
