Description: Are you looking for ways to integrate real world math into your daily instruction? This activity has students practice reading expiration dates to identify which item is going to expire first. This is an excellent resource for students to work on real world reading and math skills. It is also a great activity to work on job skill readiness since grocery store employees are often asked to sort shelves with the items expiring soonest placed up front for customers to easily access. This is UNIT ONE of a two part series. Unit one assesses students on being able to identify which item expires the soonest. In unit one, only the day portion of the expiration date changes (the month and year remain the same for the items). Unit two has more challenging questions where the month, day, and year all change. This product is a great addition for your life skills curriculum!
