Description

This activity is based on the classic fairy tale, The Gingerbread Man. Students choose which version of the story they would like (The Gingerbread Man or The Gingerbread Woman). Next, they will interact with the characters and items on the screen as they listen to (or read) the story. Finally, they will choose the ending! (Will the gingerbread man be eaten or will he get away?) Once you have finished, you can have them go back to the first page and retell the story that they created! This activity targets a variety of speech and language skills (answering questions, spoken grammar, narrative language, following directions, vocabulary, and recall/retell skills). I have also included comprehension activities at the end (sequencing and answering questions). Students who are not yet reading will need adult support to complete this activity.
