Description
This activity is designed to help students learn how to stay on topic, wait patiently without interrupting, and give equal time to listening and speaking when taking their turn in a conversation. SLPs or teachers can discuss each of 10 scenarios with their students. Students pick 1 of 4 multiple choice options to answer the question, "How can we help this conversation go better?" Students are then shown a slide where the conversation has been repaired and asked, "Is this a better way to respond?" or "Is this a better way to have a conversation?" and "Why?" Some slides have an additional slide that gives students the opportunity to repair the conversation themselves. SLPs, teachers, or students have the option of typing the student's response in the speech bubble.
