Description
Students will listen to common outdoor sounds and guess the environmental sound during this simple listening game. It is a great way to work on listening skills and auditory discrimination skills. Students can also work on common vocabulary and using the carrier phrase, "I hear a _______". This activity has two levels of play. Level 1 includes visuals and multiple choice. Level 2 is open response without visual cues. I recommend starting with Level 1 to familiarize students with the sounds before moving to Level 2.
