Pigeons Same/Different Challenge Game helps students practice audiation skills through listening to determine if tonal patterns are the same or different. Students will listen to various tonic & dominant tonal patterns played on a piano, then choose whether the patterns sound the SAME or DIFFERENT. Play a lively full-group game on your interactive whiteboard, or use as a more low-key center activity on laptops or tablets. What is included? Tonic & Dominant Tonal Patterns: Variations of Do-Mi-So & So-Fa-Re-Ti Patterns played on piano Instant Feedback: Sounds indicate correct and incorrect answers. How to Play The first slide serves as a demonstration/review and prepares students to get started. Students will click on each sound icon to listen to BOTH patterns. Then, students will choose either SAME or DIFFERENT. Correct answers will advance to the next slide, incorrect answers will be indicated and allow for self-correction. Students may use the navigation arrows to go back, skip forward, or return BACK TO START.
