Description: Students of all ages will love visiting every building in the city and receiving unique visual rewards for every correct multi-step directions prompt that they answer! This is a digital Boom Cards activity designed for use in teletherapy speech therapy sessions targeting following directions. This activity is perfect for early elementary students who have goals in the area of following 2 or 3 step directions. Card 1 gives instructions, and card 2 is the game board featuring a city being attacked by a moveable monster. Each building in the city links to a question prompt. The question prompts provide an array of simple images and written directions. The student is asked to follow 2 or 3 step directions by clicking on the correct items, with 29 unique prompts. The instructions are no longer visible after the first step, which aids in verbal memory and receptive language expansion. When the prompt is correctly answered, the student is shown a reward page where the city is saved, and a star can be dragged over the square on the map to mark it. When all buildings have been saved, a button is revealed underneath the star that will take the player to a winner page. This activity is designed to feel like a game for students and have the same turn taking and reward structure that typical games in speech therapy have, but with more dedicated time to targeting goals. The same visual format for these digital task cards is also available with other language prompts.
