Description: Little readers will love lifting the flaps to help Ben look for his favorite toy while discovering other dinosaurs along the way. The story is perfect for dino fans and a fun way to explore positions words, household vocabulary, yes/no questions, multi-syllabic words, and more. Get ready to search (lift the flaps), shout out dino names, and build sentence strips in this interactive story. Read the book with your child or student. At the top of each page, it asks the child to look in under the flaps to see if is is the T-rex dinosaur toy. Prompt the child to slide the flap to the right to look and see. They will then answer yes/no and select yes no (this is self checking). The child will match the picture symbol (slide-able square images) to the box in the phrase and to answer the question “What dinosaur do you see?” (“I see a _____”). Tapping the boxes as they say it (model when appropriate) encourages verbalization! If the dinosaur name is too difficult, you can substitute with the word “dino.” At the end there is an interactive toy basket that the student can put all of the dino toys in. There are also self checking picture supported comprehension questions (5). I included dino fact cards to look at the end if desired. Please note: This is the premium version that matches with the published board book (sold separately).
