Description: IMPORTANT NOTE: This resource is part of a series -- the pictures used here are the SAME ones used in SOCIAL SCENARIOS: MAKING INFERENCES USING REAL PICTURES but the target skills and questions are DIFFERENT. This resource is for PERSPECTIVE-TAKING. ----------------- In my speech therapy sessions, I use real pictures of different social scenarios to help my students understand what's going on the subject's mind. We talk about the emotions of the people in the picture and then analyze what the students feel if they were in that situation. More importantly, we talk about the responses that can elicit a positive and a negative reaction from the person in the situation. This way the students understand how responses are perceived by others. I collected common and less common social scenarios and placed them in this one resource. It contains 30 real pictures and is divided into 2 sections: 1. One subject (16 pictures) - Social scenarios have one subject and the student is asked to interact with the subject as him/herself 2. Multiple subject (14 pictures) - Social scenarios have 2-3 subjects and students have a choice to take a role and respond in character, or respond as themselves. Story Context cue cards are available at the bottom of the social scenarios for students to help the students understand the scenarios.
