Description: A simple interactive narrated social story and activities on respecting personal space designed for: a) pre-kindergarten or kindergarten students, or b) older students with moderate cognitive delays. The learner outcomes (you can see them in the preview) focus on helping students understand the concept of personal space, the social impact of invading it and the settings (desks/tables, carpet, lines, when talking to others) and how to fix personal space problems. Includes 10 slides of interactive activities-students evaluate and respond to personal space scenarios and drag members to the scenarios to be respectful of space or fix a personal space problem. Ends with slides where information is reviewed, to reinforce learning and check for understanding. Multiple learning supports: *audio directions, knowledge check, *images designed specifically to teach personal space, *multiple ways for students to respond including yes/no, thumbs up/down, drag and drop, drawing/coloring, and multiple choice with words and pictures. *the review section will give the instructor an idea of how well the students understand the concept. The language is simple & repetitive, with graphics of younger children. If you need to cover more complexities of personal space (personal space transgressions resulting in aggression, how personal space rules can differ depending upon who we're with, and perspective-taking) check out the other personal space deck in my BOOM store.
