Gingerbread House Articulation- /s/ blends

Description: This gingerbread house themed deck covers /s/ blends articulation (st, sk, sn, sl, sp, sw, sn) in the initial position of words. There are 3-4 words per sound position. Students will construct a gingerbread house by clicking/dragging building elements on each page (e.g., building base, colorful door frames, candy windows, gumdrops, etc.). As students manipulate the gingerbread house elements, they will practice their /s/ blends by labeling target images depicted on each slide. Once the gingerbread house is completed, students will use the map to navigate the building. There are 9 scenes designated for articulation activities. These can be found on page 1 of the map. In each of these scenes, students will search for hidden target articulation (/s/) blends images that will be dragged to a location on the slide. There are 3 scenes designated for open ended play. These can be found on page 2 of the map. Drag each of the items in the left column onto the background to create a scene. The gingerbread house rooms included are: bedrooms (2) , living room, family room, kitchen, dining room, garage, basement, bathroom. The open-ended scenes included are: snowy rooftops, Christmas mall, Christmas village. Each room contains a variety of gingerbread characters. A vocabulary board is included in this product to help familiarize students with Christmas concepts.
