Description: There is a home page and arrows for moving forwards and backwards in the deck. Self rating-students rate their own ability to stay on topic. Teaching: Intro slides discuss the importance of staying on topic in a conversation by making pertinent comments or questions. On or off topic? The next slides show conversational exchanges between two or more people using speech bubbles. The student reads the conversations and decides if they are on or off topic. Perspective taking: the next slides have the student fill in thought bubbles about what others think when someone is off topic. Type on topic statements: this set of slides give the student an opportunity to write what relevant question or comment they would use in that situation. Review-2 slides where students show their knowledge of information in the deck. Students have the option to hear the directions and statements read to them by pressing the speaker icon. Real photographs of older children, adolescents and teenagers are used and a variety of skin colors are portrayed.
